Logo t-shirts are shirts that have a name, symbol or trademark (which is defined for easy recognition of a company) on them. Logo t-shirts are different from custom or personalized t-shirts in that logos are usually copyrighted symbols or those used to denote a business. Because of this, one must be careful when making logo t-shirts. Some companies will not allow the copying of their logos without their explicit permission.

Logo t-shirts can be made using any style or color of t-shirt, although cotton or its variants are the most popular kind of fabric used. A logo that has been invented by you can be transferred onto a shirt quite easily by using an iron and a computer station. The design can be made on the computer, printed and transferred to the shirt using a hot iron and special transfer paper.

There are two primary methods on making logo t-shirts using a computer. One method is the transfer print method. This involves putting the logo onto special paper, which is then transferred by a hot iron or hot press to the fabric. The transfer paper used to make logo t-shirts is specifically designed for either the ink jet (bubble jet) printer or the color copier. It is important to use the correct paper, as the logo will not print correctly if the wrong paper is used.

The other method for making logo t-shirts is called “direct printing.” This is done by printing onto the actual t-shirt using computer inks. The only problem with this method is that the inks used in ink jet printers are water soluble, so when washed the ink will come out of the fabric. There have been attempts to find a way to seal the inks onto the fabric using acrylic sprays or silicon, but that never worked correctly. Now, a Bubble Jet Set (created in 1999) is used. This product allows the t-shirt to be treated and then fused to freezer paper to be run through an ink jet printer. This method allows the ink to be absorbed while the liquid coating keeps it from leaking out of the fabric.

Logo t-shirts are often used as cheap advertising by start-up companies (and large corporations for that matter) because they are versatile and sturdy. People all over the world wear t-shirts, and oftentimes when one tires of a shirt it will be passed onto family or charity organizations instead of thrown away. Also, in the production of movies many times products can get worldwide publicity through the use of logo t-shirts.  Those responsible for wardrobe in a movie often use logo t-shirts to alter the moviegoer’s perception of a character.

Finally, logo t-shirts are a good way to show support for a particular company, sports team or favorite television show. These shirts can be found at just about any novelty shop, clothing shop or department store. Sometimes the logos can even be bought separately and transferred to the shirt using transfer paper and a hot iron.
