More Information On Company Gifts

Company gifts are a great way to show your employees that they are appreciated and are helping to achieve company goals. Here are three factors to keep in mind as you master the art of giving company gifts:

1. Timing
The most obvious time of year to give company gifts to your employees is the winter holiday season. This should not be the only time you reward your employees though. The best time to give a gift is when it’s least expected. Make it a point to give small company gifts to your employees throughout the year. Timing a gift in the middle of a tough work week is a great way to tell your employees they are appreciated and will give them a bright spot in their day. This will relieve some of the tension of the deadline and boost spirit so that they have extra motivation for getting the job done.

2. Delivery Spot
It is usually most convenient to give company gifts at the office, since everyone is in close proximity. Perhaps everyone has a mailbox which is an easy place to deliver gifts, or you can make the extra effort and place the gifts on each employee’s desk. However, do something different occasionally and mail your company gifts to your employees’ home addresses. Everyone likes to find items other than bills in their mail and this adds a personal touch to your gesture. Company gifts are about showing your employees they are valuable, so make the extra effort to deliver a few gifts at the office and at home.

3. Gift Selection
There is only one factor to think about when selecting your company gifts. Is the gift practical? Can it actually be of use to your employees? When in doubt, stick with the basics you know your employees will benefit from. Monetary bonuses and gift certificates always will be used in some form or another. If you buy into gift certificates though, make sure it is for something that all of your employees will want to redeem. Also bonuses and gift certificates can seem impersonal if they are given alone. A great way to personalize the gift is to send a note that details some of the accomplishments that your employees have achieved. You can thank them for their hard work and even include updates about what is to come in the next few weeks at the company.

As long as you keep these three factors in mind and plan early for the upcoming year, you will master the art of giving company gifts. You will not only show your employees they are appreciated, you will also reap the benefits of being appreciated yourself.
